Which is the best place for scuba diving in Fiji? Yes, as you think in your mind it is Taveuni. It is the best destination for diving locations for the divers. You will never forget the diving experience as you dive and see the beautiful corals and the abundant marine life.

Taveuni is known as the Soft coral capital of the world and the water temperature is great through out the year. Water temperature is 22 C to 28 C through out the year. The visibility inside the sea is no less than 100 ft on each dive and Taveuni is rich in hard corals too. There is a place called as “Purple Wall” and this place is rich with colors and varieties of corals. You can see large sized fishes and sharks and even whale sharks some times in the place called as “Fish factory”.

Some of the other sites to visit in Taveuni are Annie’s Bommies” and “The Zoo”. Diving also happens in Maravu Plantation Resort in Taveuni. Other than these important places there are some other places like

A 10minute boat ride from Taveuni takes you to a place called as vuna reef. The shape of the place is like the letter C. it offers lagoon dives for beginners and exciting wall dives for advanced divers. There is a site called as STAIRS which is the favorite place situated in the reef. When you reach you are impressed by the soft and hard corals present in the reef.

This place obtained its name because a set of swim thorough is present like a stair case. White tip reef sharks are famous here and you can find these fishes as you go deep into the reef. You can also find leopard sharks relaxing next to you. You can also find some rare species like butterfly fish, moorish idols, trumpetfish and Maori wrasse and much more. Your dive depends upon the rise and flow of the current water not only in this reef but also in other places of Taveuni.
